COMING OUT

Tears ran down her face, as she packed up every box
She   made a pile in the corner, of things she didn’t want
Carried it all to the front door, had to make some space
Thought,   17 years of my life, all Packed Up In One  Day

She didn’t know where she was going, but knew she had to leave
Everything went south so quickly, she ain’t had time to think
Her   mind was in a constant fog, with nothing left to say
Trying to understand it all, how her family could turn a  way

Chorus
Coming out of the closet, setting herself free
Not worrying about if other people, tend to disagree
The one she’d loved turned her back, left her to face the storm
Her safety net is in shreds, now she’s all alone

Turnaround

Bridge
Cut her hair and changed her name
Moved away from this hating game
Got a place in the city, a two room flat
Took a good look in the mirror, ain’t no going back

Chorus
Coming out of the closet, setting herself free
Not worrying about if other people, tend to disagree
Got a new partner, who holds her close when the nights are cold
She’s on her own now, she’s learning to be in controll
