She’s just a cowgirl, you can tell by the way she walks
She’s loves 'em cowboys, you can tell by the way she talks
Her hearts been broken, more than a time or two
By some old lying cowboy, the way cowboys sometimes do

Like that champion bull rider, I met in a Reno bar
After too many tequilas, she let it go too far

He treated me in style, like an 8 second ride
Then headed back to Fort Worth, to his babies and his bride

We were together for the best YEAR of my life

I blew my chance of making her my wife
Up in Alberta, she caught me with a fling
Broke her poor heart into, I ruined everything

She'll keeps on looking, for a decent man
She won’t let that old clock that's tickin’, mess up her plan
She’s just a cowgirl, you can tell by the way she rides

She loves them cowboys, you can see it there in his eyes
