GET THIS CRAP OUT OF MY COUNTRY

Record companies crying, cause nobody’s buying
All the records like before
I’m sure they don’t listen, to the crap that they’re making
They just press it and shove it out the door

They’ll find another singer, younger than the singer
Than the singer who had a hit just yesterday

They’ll make a little movie, put it on the TV
Watch Country Music, just fade away

1st Chorus:
Get this crap out of my country, teenage pop radio
Waylon sang the blues, John R. added soul
Get this rap out of my country, we don’t need no M.T.V.
We just want real country music, the way country ought to be

Things are really bad, but I’ve got faith
We’ve been down this road before
Don’t you remember that Urban Cowboy movement
We shut it down in ‘84

Hundreds have come, hundreds are gone
But King George, he surpassed them all
With Alan and Brad, I think we got a chance
Put Country in the music, once for all

2nd Chorus:
Get this crap out of my country, crossover pop radio
Hank, he sang the blues, Conway added soul
Get this rap out of my country, we don’t need no C.M.T.
We just want our country music, the way country ought to be

3rd Chorus
Get this crap out of my country, crossroads overload
Old Hag still sings the blues, Willie always on the road
Get this rap out of my country, we don’t need no B.E.T.
We just want our country music, the way country ought to be
